Charlottesville With The Dawsons

Back in April 2020, we had plans to attend a wedding in Virginia.  Drummond Dawson, the son of our friends Anne and Henley Dawson was to marry Kelsey Monacci in Charlottesville, VA.  (Here is a reminder of our last visit with Anne and Henley in 2016 at their lovely home in King and Queen Courthouse, VA.)  Clearly, Covid-19 made it necessary to reschedule the wedding for the end of October 2020.

When the time came, with Covid cases surging, we still didn’t feel comfortable with air travel so, sadly, we had to cancel once again.  The wedding took place and by all accounts was a lovely occasion. Continue reading →

Chrissy & Johnny Get Married

At long last, the big day had arrived:  Chrissy and Johnny’s wedding day, January 19, 2019.

The wedding and reception dinner were held at a golf course near Temecula, CA.  For several days in the week prior to the wedding all of southern California was rain soaked.  However, when the weekend arrived, the sky cleared and we had beautiful weather with pleasant temperatures.

They had about 100 guests in total for the ceremony and dinner.  Chrissy acted as her own wedding coordinator and orchestrated every detail herself.  She did a splendid job which was validated by the many positive comments from those in attendance.  The ceremony was brief but elegant, the dinner was good, the music was right on point and lots of the attendees danced and celebrated with the newlyweds.

Chrissy and Johnny will have a slightly delayed honeymoon in Paris during late March.

We thank them for letting us all join them in their celebration.

Jason & Ashley Wedding

On August 18, 2012 (photos), Valerie’s son, Jason consummated his marriage to Ashley on a lovely beach near Newport Beach, CA.

Jason, aged 29 is Valerie’s younger son.  He and Ashley have been together almost non-stop since high school.  They wanted to have a wedding to include only family and they wanted to have the ceremony on the beach.  They settled on Little Corona Beach near the city of Newport Beach, a really lovely stretch of coastline in Orange County about 60 miles south of the city of Los Angeles.
