Stanley Park is a 1,000 acre urban park which occupies the peninsula adjacent to downtown Vancouver, BC. This park, opened in 1888 is named for Lord Frederick Stanley, Governor General of Canada at that time. Stanley Park is the third largest park in North America. Continue reading

Vancouver (pics) is the eighth largest city in Canada and the largest city in the province of British Columbia. It is said to be the most ethnically diverse city in Canada with 52% of its residents with a first language other than English. We stayed in Richmond, BC, a city just to the south of Vancouver. Two-thirds of Richmond’s residents are Asian, mostly Chinese.
