We recently had the opportunity to house sit in Las Vegas, returning to sit for a very nice couple who we originally met two years ago on one of our first house sitting assignments. You can see a little more about it here.
While visiting Las Vegas (pics) we took the opportunity to have some nice meals, verified once again that we are no good at gambling, did some hiking in Red Rock Canyon and checked out the newest attraction, High Roller.
We’ve recently started a 10 day house sitting in Las Vegas. We’re in a lovely home on the west side of Las Vegas in the Spring Valley area looking after the home and a very nice 9 year old dog, lab and retriever mix.
There are bigger dams with more impressive stats and higher water flow rates. But Hoover Dam continues to fascinate and attracts million of visitors each year. Perhaps it has to do with its proximity to Las Vegas which is only 30 minutes north of the dam. Perhaps because of its dramatic setting in a deep gorge on the Colorado River. Maybe it’s because the dam was built during the depths of the US recession.
