Cub Run is near Nolin River Lake.  We parked at the Wax Recreation Area campground near Cub Run at a nice lake front RV site.

My brother Hew lives near Cub Run.  He has a lake front home there that is nestled among the trees in a very tranquil setting.  We visited with him and took a drive together around to some of the other lake parks and campgrounds:  Nolin Lake State Park, Dog Creek Campground and the Nolin Lake Dam.

Since we were so close, we took the opportunity to drive to Mammoth Cave National Park.  This year marks the 200th year since public tours began at Mammoth Cave.  We were here in 2014 when we took the New Entrance tour.  This time we took the Cleveland Avenue tour and did a little hiking.  We can add this to our 2016 caves and caverns visits.  Of course, Mammoth Cave rules all others with its 435 miles of mapped passages.
