We spent 3 nights in the Fairview campground on the south side of Tims Ford Lake in Winchester, Tennessee. Tims Ford Lake is a reservoir with 10,700 acres of surface area in middle Tennessee.
The Fairview campground is on the opposite side of the lake from the Tims Ford State Park Visitor center and main campground. The Fairview Campground has just been renovated prior to this season, having opened on April 1, 2016. The sites are large with a gravel surface, picnic table and fire ring. All sites have water and electric hook ups and some have sewer connections. There is a new bathroom and shower facility and a dump station. There is a mix of shaded and open sites with many of them backing up to the lakeshore.
Since we were there early in the season, there were very few other RV’s so we had a nice, quiet visit. We went over to the Visitor center and walked some of the hiking trails.
We are preparing to leave our motorhome for a few weeks so that we can fly back to Los Angeles in order to take care of some medical check ups and visit with family and friends. We will be storing the motorhome near Tullahoma and spending a few days with my sister before flying out of Nashville.
Next stop: Tullahoma, TN
