We stopped off for three nights to visit here. The park covers 600,000 acres making it one of the largest state parks in the US. The park headquarters is adjacent to the town of Borrego Springs. We parked in the RV section of the Palm Canyon campground.
We checked out the Visitor Center and did some hiking, including a hike up into Palm Canyon which leads to an oasis with a large stand of…you guessed it, palm trees. Unfortunately, we were not able to get a look at the bighorn sheep which are a signature part of the park.
