Pocatello (pics) is home to Idaho State University.  I’d like to tell you about other fabulous reasons to visit Pocatello but honestly our reason for being here has more to do with scheduling.  We needed an intermediate stop between Idaho Falls and our planned stop for the Labor Day weekend in Ogden, Utah.

We did find some nice hiking trails in the hills just west of the city and we enjoyed our time at the Cowboy RV Park.

Valerie found this interesting log configuration along the creek on our hike.  Is that alligator log taking a bite of another log?
