Widely recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the world (photos), it runs through Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach, between Monterey and Carmel, from the dramatic Pacific coastline to the Del Monte Forest.
The most photographed spot on the drive is The Lone Cypress, one of California’s most enduring landmarks. This Monterey Cypress tree has clung to its rocky perch for some 250 years. The drive also passes through three world renowned golf resorts: Spanish Bay, Spyglass and Pebble Beach.
