We recently had the opportunity to house sit in Las Vegas, returning to sit for a very nice couple who we originally met two years ago on one of our first house sitting assignments.  You can see a little more about it here.

While visiting Las Vegas (pics) we took the opportunity to have some nice meals, verified once again that we are no good at gambling, did some hiking in Red Rock Canyon and checked out the newest attraction, High Roller.

At 550 feet tall, High Roller is the world’s largest observation wheel.  Each cabin on the wheel holds up to 40 people and the full cycle around requires 30 minutes.  High Roller is located within The Linq, a new shopping and dining district located along Las Vegas Blvd, adjacent to the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

Following our house sitting, we spent an additional 3 nights at the Rio Hotel and Casino, allowing us the opportunity to have a little of the “Vegas” experience.  Also, while in Las Vegas we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary.  That’s right, it’s already been a year since we enjoyed our wedding and lovely party with our family and friends.
